beware. I have just had to cancel my credit card after making a reservation through this site. After completing the reservation form with all personal and financial information, I did not get a confirmation number. Just a 'woops, something went wrong'. On phoning the hotel I booked (a well-known hotel in Vancouver) they did not have the reservation and just said I should have booked direct. Credit card company instantly cancelled my card, which is a huge hassle. Who are these people? And more importantly, what have they done with my reservation and information.

Today it was my first experience with this site and honestly it was great! Was afraid at the beginning because their rate was so cheap comparing to other sites but everything was superb! I didn’t try their customer services because didn’t need any change in my reservation.

Made a booking for St Mellons Hotel Cardiff, got there to find it had been closed since March.

Rang them to be told they don't know why they are taking bookings for a hotel which isn't even open. Waiting for a refund.

Edit 26.8.21- re the reply received. I have already emailed you the information required at 09.23am on 18 August, still not received a reply from you. Say it all really!

Im due to be staying at the hotel tomorrow, I’ve contacted the bank and informed them of fraud.

i booked a place to stay for a week , and the day before i called the hotel to confirm that they have late checkin . the company said that the hotel in that town has been closed for three months . after trying to cancel and advised to call a number ... that doesn't work i went to the contact us tab most of the country numbers are all the same . so last minuite i have had to make a new booking hoping that i can recover the money spent on the initial booking

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. My partner was ill and couldn't travel I informed the hotel who were fine and understanding but after an hour of trying to contact Hotel De I found no way of cancelling it either on the website or by telephone. Do not use this website not professional at all. Take your money and run.

Waited a total of 40 minutes on hold with no answer. Emailed and got an automated email response saying my email had been received. No reply since. I have had an issue with the hotel, and need to talk to someone from this company, but it seems impossible. Terrible after-sale support.

Avoid. Zero customer service. No cancellation policy exists. They take your card details before so you can’t change/cancel bookings.

Been waiting over 45 minutes on the phone and haven’t been able to speak to a person. Their online cancellation system does not work.

We were told if we wish to cancel any bookings they need 3 days notice. We’re attempting to cancel a week in advance. However they make this impossible as they don’t communicate.

They’re quick to take card details though. Complete scam.

I made a reservation for a private room in a hostel in Dublin. Today I arrived in the hostel to find out my reservation on hotel.de was actually cancelled. They did this without any notification whatsoever. The hostel informed me this happened more often in the past because Hotel.de actually shows rates for private rooms which actually apply for 16 bed mixed dorms. Luckily for us the hostel service was very kind and offered us another deal. I will never use Hotel.de again and won’t recommend anyone to use it. #118328279

The most horrible experience I had ever had. First of all I have booked a single room in Amsterdam - thats what my booking stated and the info on hotel.de website. INSTEAD OF A SINGLE ROOM I GET A DORMITORY WITH 8 PEOPLE. I CALL HOTEL.DE AND THEY SAY THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO!!!!!!!! I leave and book another hotel. NOW ITS BEEN 3 MONTHS HOW THEY DO NOT RESPOND TO MY EMAILS AND DO NOT RETURN MY MONEY. It is an insane company. DO NOT BOOOK.

Dodgy company that confirms bookings that have not been communicated to your specified hotel. Be warned they will not cancel the booking saying all is well, then charge a late cancellation fee.

Avoid if you value your credit rating and don't want to arrive on your dream holiday with no hotel booked

I'm very disappointed.
First I received email with 20€ voucher for the booking.
I tried to use it but there was no place to paste it.
I thought that maybe in the hotel my bill we be reduced (no chance).
After my return I wrote a question to Hotel.de about the situation - no respond.

Not only did we have a wonderful stay in a great hotel , spa and location the hotel staff were excellent. I left my wallet containing cash and a credit card in room safe. The hotel immediately arranged for it to be posted securely back to me in UK at no charge and kept me informed at every stage. I can not praise and thank them enough

Hotel booked well in advance. Hotel booking was confirmed by HOTEL INFO with reservation no. - 76369292.
But when I was on the way i.e. mid of journey of around 1000 KM, suddenly received cancellation mail by HOTEL INFO. Which was very shocking.

Tried first time hotel booking thru HOTEL INFO. Overall Bad experience!!!!

The Paradis Hotel refused the 76596759 booking, arguing that it was a mistake on the HOTEL.DE site but they said that they hadn't rooms available during the period 04.08-08.08.2016 and asked me to cancel the reservation.
Consequently, we booked another hotel room and tonight I am cancelling the Paradis Hotel booking which I made to HOTEL.DE.
